Gazipur blockade violence kills AL leader
An Awami League leader was killed in a clash between Awami League and BNP supporters centering blockade on Wednesday noon.
The deceased was identified as Kamal Hossain, 40, member of Jamalpur union parishad under Kaliganj upazila of the district.
Witness said the supporters of local Awami League and BNP locked into a clash at Dolan Bazar around 12:30pm, leaving Kamal injured critically.
He was rushed to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries around 2:30pm.
Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Thana Nazmul Islam Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
