BNP calls hartal in Ctg for Sunday

BNP called dawn-to-dusk hartal in the district for Sunday for protesting the arrest of BNP chairperson’s adviser Mir Mohammad Nasir Uddin and its organizing secretary Golam Akhber Khandaker.

BNP vice-chairman Abdullah Al-Mamun made the announcement after joining the `Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza` (funeral prayers in absentia) on Friday.

The district unit of BNP also will observe the shutdown in protest against case filing against its senior leaders including port city BNP president Amir Kasru Mahmud Chowdhry.
