PM to go Bangabhaban in evening

The Prime Minister and president of ruling Awami League Sheikh Hasina is set to go to Bangabhaban to meet President Abdul Hamid on Sunday evening.

Sources said that the meeting between the head of the state and head of the government president of the country at around 6:15pm to discuss the ongoing political stalemate. Earlier in the day, Oscar Fernández Taranco, UN assistant secretary general for political affairs, is holding meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in second phase. Taranco, also the special ambassador of UN secretary General Ban-ki-Moon, had a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakib Uddin Ahmed at around 10:55am. The upcoming parliamentary election and stand of political parties were discussed in the meeting, said sources.
