A Dhaka court on Monday rejected the bail plea of BNP standing committee member Brigadier General (retd) ASM Hannan Shah, BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Executive Committee member Belal Ahmed.
The court also rejected the remand plea of the three BNP leaders and ordered to quiz them at the jail gate, if necessary.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor passed the order after hearing on a 20-day remand plea of Hannan Shah in two cases, 30-day of Rizvi in three cases and 20-day remand plea of Belal Ahmed in two cases.
On the other hand, lawyers’ of the opposition leaders’ sought for bail release.
Police arrested Hannan Shah on November 25, and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Belal Ahmed were arrested on November 30, on the charge of their alleged involvement with vehicle torching, cocktails explosion and obstructing police from discharging duties.
