Jamaat-Shibir mayhem AL man beaten dead in Shatkhira

 An activist of ruling Awami League was beaten to death by enraged Jamaat-Shibir activists at Boladanga village at Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hamid, 40, son of Fazar Ali an Awami League activist from Boladanga village of Sadar upazila.

Witnesses said Jamaat-Shibir activists abducted Hamid from Madhabkathi Bazar area around 9.00pmTuesday after the news of execution order of Quader Mollah spreads.

Later, locals found him injured critically with broken hand and legs and rushed to the Shatkhira Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to injuries early Wednesday.

Shatkhira Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Inamul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
