Khaleda has started 'genocide': PM

The way people are being killed in arson amounts to genocide," she said on Sunday at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Hasina said the government would be as stern as necessary to stop this 'terrorism'.
The Prime Minister went to the DMCH burn unit to see the victims of arson attacks during the recent Opposition-called strikes and blockades.


Widespread violence occurred during the Opposition 18-Party alliance's repeated protest moves.Bombs were exploded and vehicles torched in several parts of the country, injuring scores of people.
Many of them later died of their injuries.
The DMCH burn unit has so far treated 51 victims, doctors informed the Prime Minister.
Nine of them were dead, while another 37 were still being treated at the hospital.
